Why we exist

Patients generate the data that moves medicine and get almost nothing back. Foundations and Patient Advocacy Organizations hold the most engaged communities in medicine, rare and common alike, and the registries they were sold were filled out once and filed away. Researchers cannot reach consented, longitudinal data without slow and costly trials.

The loop never closes because the trust to close it was never built. That is the part we work on: the community owns and governs the data, everything downstream is de-identified, and the value comes back.

Aurelis sits where secure data engineering, clinical evidence, pharmaceutical development, and patient communities meet. The founding team has worked on all four sides of that table, and has done the work before rather than learned it here.

Health data engineering & security Two decades building data and machine-learning platforms at enterprise scale: architecture that keeps identifiable data inside a partner’s boundary, consent enforced at query time, and a security posture that holds up under vendor review.
Clinical evidence & regulatory The judgment that decides whether collected data counts as evidence: protocols, endpoints, de-identification standards, and what regulators, payers, and reviewers will accept. Including work behind an FDA-cleared digital therapeutic.
Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences Years inside global pharmaceutical organizations across medical affairs, development, and commercial launch. The team knows how these groups buy, what evidence unlocks a budget, and where a study stalls internally.
